Manage your server’s performance and track crucial metrics like load average, memory usage, bandwidth usage located in Hestia. Follow this guide to monitor server performance in Hestia effectively.
1. Log in to the Hestia Control Panel:
2. Once logged in, click on the “Server Settings” option at the top.
3. Look for the “Monitor” or “Task Monitor” option in the main menu or sidebar of the Hestia Control Panel.
4. Click on “Task Monitor” to open the monitoring interface.
In the Task Monitor interface, you can typically view real-time or recent usage statistics for server resources such as:
i. Load AverageA measure of the average system load over a period of time. It is represented by the number of average processes which are either in a running or uninterruptible state. A high load average indicates that the system might be overloaded.
ii. Memory UsageThe amount of physical memory (RAM) being used by the system. Monitoring memory usage helps ensure that there is enough memory available for applications and processes to run smoothly.
iii. Bandwidth UsageThe amount of data transferred to and from the server over a network connection within a specified period. Monitoring bandwidth usage helps track data consumption and can be useful for managing network resources.
iv. APACHE2 UsageRefers to the resources (CPU, memory, etc.) consumed by the Apache HTTP Server, which is a widely used web server software.
v. NGINX UsageRefers to the resources consumed by NGINX, another popular web server and reverse proxy server known for its high performance and scalability.
vi. Exim UsageRefers to the resources used by Exim, a mail transfer agent (MTA) commonly used on Unix-like operating systems.
vii. MySQL UsageRefers to the resources used by MySQL, a popular open-source relational database management system.
viii. FTP UsageRefers to the resources used by the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) service, which facilitates file transfers between a client and a server on a computer network.
ix. SSH UsageRefers to the resources used by SSH (Secure Shell), a cryptographic network protocol for secure remote login and command execution.
These metrics are crucial for monitoring server health and performance, ensuring optimal operation, and identifying potential issues that may require attention or optimization.
By leveraging the Task Monitor and following these tips, you can effectively monitor server performance in the Hestia Control Panel, ensuring optimal operation and identifying issues before they impact your services.
