Search for “Catalog > Categories” option in the Magento Admin panel. This section provides comprehensive tools for managing and configuring product categories.
Click “Add Root Category” to create a new top-level category and save it . For example, you might name this root category Fresh Product.
When creating a new root category in Magento 2, you have several configuration options:
Toggle to make the category visible on the storefront.
Choose whether the category appears in the main navigation.
Set the name displayed on the storefront.

Add descriptions and images for detailed category information.
Design the category page layout using Page Builder.
Include a CMS block for additional content.
Select how products and content are shown.

To add a subcategory, select the desired root category. For example, to create a subcategory under Fresh Products, choose Fresh Products and then add the subcategory, such as Apples.
