While BigCloudy Hosting offers automatic backups of your cPanel files and databases, it’s essential to download them periodically for added security and disaster recovery purposes. Here’s a step-by-step guide on downloading backups from your BigCloudy cPanel account:

Downloading Website Files

1. Firstly, log in to your cPanel control panel using your BigCloudy credentials.

2. Within the cPanel interface, navigate to the section labeled “JetBackup 5“.

3. Click on the option labeled “Home Directory” to access your website’s files.

4. If you require a backup from a specific date, locate the desired date by filtering or searching within the interface.

  • Click the “Change Files Selection” option.
  • Select the specific files or directories you wish to download.
  • Click the “Download” button to initiate the download process.

Downloading Database Backups

1. Repeat step 1 from the “Downloading Website Files” section.

2. Navigate to “JetBackup 5” as described previously (step 2 from “Downloading Website Files”).

3. Click on the option labeled “Databases” so that you can access your website’s database management tools.

4. Identify the desired database you want to download by name or description. You might need to click “Choose Other Backup” to view additional options.

5. Click the “Download” button particularly associated with the chosen database to initiate the download process.

By following these steps, you can effectively download backups from your cPanel account with BigCloudy and maintain a secure copy of your website data for restoration purposes.
