WHM (Web Hosting Manager) is a popular web-based control panel for managing Linux-based hosting environments. It offers a comprehensive suite of features for server administration, including the creation of independent cPanel accounts. This guide surely details the steps involved in creating a cPanel account within your WHM interface.
1. Access your WHM interface using your administrative credentials.
2. There are two ways to initiate cPanel account creation:
3. Now, fill the following details given below:
Enter the desired domain name (registered or non-registered).
Note: Do not include the “www” prefix. Subdomain accounts can also be created.
Choose a strong password with a combination of alphanumeric characters. Alternatively, use the provided “Password Generator” for a secure password suggestion.
Associate an email address with the account for receiving important notifications.
6. Select a pre-defined package from the “Choose a Package” dropdown menu. After that, select “Options Manually” to configure specific resource allocations.
4. Then, find Account Settings in cPanel
Choose a user interface theme from the “cPanel Theme” dropdown menu.
Set the preferred language for the cPanel user from the “Locale” dropdown menu.
(VPS & Dedicated Servers Only) Tick the “Make the account a reseller” checkbox to grant reseller privileges to the account.
Configure Domain Name System (DNS) settings if this server will host DNS for the cPanel account. This includes enabling DKIM & SPF for spam prevention (if applicable), selecting nameserver configuration options, and potentially overwriting existing DNS zones.
Choose the appropriate mail routing settings based on your email hosting configuration. “Automatically Detect Configuration” is generally not recommended for using the account for domain email. Instead, select “Local Mail Exchanger” for this scenario.
Once all details are filled in and reviewed, click the “Create” button.
5. Finally, upon successful creation, you will receive a confirmation screen displaying the new cPanel account details, including login credentials.
By following these steps, you can create new cPanel accounts within your WHM environment, empowering website owners with independent web hosting management capabilities.
